Married twice #1Sarah Kemp, Feb. 21, 1844 Henderson Co., Illinois
Children:
John bn abt 1845, Illinois
James bn abt 1847, Illinois
Rhoda bn abt 1849, Illinois (Sarah's parents raised her)

#2 Lucinda Gossett April 24, 1850 Hancock Co., Illinois
Cornelius is listed as C.W. Atkinson on marriage cert.
Children: Charles William bn Oct.16, 1854, Illinois (he's the only one I have)

The last time Cornelius was found was in 1850, Henderson Co., Illinois
living next door to the Kemp family. listed as C.W. Atkinson

By 1860 I have lost him again, I found him on Charles and Anna Riches Atkinson"s marriage registration listed as father and Lucinda listed as mother.
I am sure that the Cornelius above is an ancestor because I have a picture of a cousin Oscar Gossett.

I would like to find him either in 1860 or 1870 just to see where he went and to find his parents.
I am open to all suggestion and comments.
