Phil,
Do you have any later info on your Atkinson line? I am stuck in 1868 with Martha Jane Atkinson b 28 May 1868 in
Chesterfield County, SC?? (according to her death certificate) m John Wesley Turner b 7 Aug 1866 also supposedly in
Chesterfield County d 25 Jan 1925 in Anson County, NC buried in Chesterfield.
Know this area was in the 'disputed' area and they could have been in either state at the time. :)
I have nothing on her parents that I can prove. It has been said she was the daughter of Jeremiah Atkinson and
Elmira Gathings but from what I have found on that Martha Jane - she married a Hudson - not a Turner.
This is my grandmother's mom.
Thanks for any help,
Mary
