Okay Phillip, I know a shaggy dog chase when I see one but... as sons-in- law
to the same man, Littleton Riggins, I have two of seven men, one named
Agrippa Atkinson and one named Howell Sammons. The Howells were neighbors of
Littleton Riggin's when he purchased land in 1799 Greene Co GA. As the
Sammons's were also there, I assume this friendship sparked the name as I can
find no Sammons woman in this direct line. I believe the elusive Agrippa
Atkinson may have actually been Samuel Agrippa as I cannot find another
Samuel in the mother's line for naming her son Samuel Agrippa Riggins, the
greatgrandson of A. Atkinson. See anything you like just speak right up??
