I wondered when you would pop up Jack...glad to have you on deck, I need
good eyes.Am very under the weather, but will promise more tomorrow. For
now,the abbreviated version...Littleton Riggins 1774-1843 had seven children
and eight in-laws by them. Littleton lived at least from 1799-1819 in
various GA counties such as Greene, Hancock, Jackson.
Four of the above eight inlaws have ancestors that stem from one big massive
cluster that married into and traveled with each other from at least the
mid 1700's.Two of those four names are Cook( Henry) and Atkinson(Agrippa).
The Cook family data is the only one we can dead reckon from stem to stern.
Nathan Cook and my Henry Cook are both in this lineage. At first, I thought
Hollis was referring to Henry's brother Nathan, but they are actually
cousins. However, it calls into question whether Abner and Agrippa Atkinson
are also relatives of each other and part of the cluster.
We are all haunted by the 20 July 1793 indenture between Abner Atkinson and
wife Lucy of Greene Co GA with Agrippa Atkinson of Hancock that was
witnessed by Arthur Atkinson of we don't know where or for whom and Isaac
Evans. We all have an Evans in our data.!Cluster genealogy is so often more
fruitful in common name traces like Cook and ATkinson. Tomorrow I'll go over
the steps we took to get from Agrippa to the 18th century Cooks. We can
always use new vetters. Maryellen
