"A few days I posted an inquiry about the name of SAVERY
and here it is again. Can someone tell me where the SAVERY
family joins in with the ATWOOD family? I think it may come
in with one of the daughters of Eli ATWOOD and his wife
Lydia (GRIFFITH). I have found references to a William
SAVERY, grandson of Eli and Lydia ATWOOD. Did their daughter
Polly or Lydia marry a SAVERY?"

Cindy I have:

For Abigail Shaw ATWOOD HOLMES:

Luther and Abigail (Shaw) ATWOOD having an additional
child: Luther b1852 - d1852 (10 days old), BUT this
would conflict with your death date for Luther Sr, ie
1850. Now I didn't have a death date for him, so you
could be correct; but then who was the father of Luther
Jr ?

As to the SAVERY connections

There were a number of them in the Carver/Middleboro area.
I remember a large white marble tombstone for William
SAVERY, just behind the ATWOODs in the Lakenham Cemetery
in Carver. (The Atwoods are buried in the right rear of
the cemetery under a large pine tree, and the Savery stone
is to the right of the pine). I didn't take down the
information on it, because it didn't connect to anyone I
had (at the time) but it might help us connect the two
families. Now I'm really curious.
