Maybe a connection. I'm wondering if my Peter could be a sibling of Baccus?

The branch of my family that I'm researching began in NY where Peter Atwood
was said (on the 1850 Wyoming County Census) to have been born.....Peter went
to MA, married his first wife, Laura Whitney in 1814--gave birth to my
ggg-grandmother Sofia at Indian Hollow (then an area of Huntington,
MA).....then married his second wife, Mehitable Phebe Clark in 1825--also in
MA--Chester......then there was a move to NY (China/Arcade)....and finally to
Grundy County, ILL.

Peter Atwood:  b. September 10, 1791 NY (not sure where in NY)
d. between 1860-63 ILL.

First marriage: October 29, 1814, Chester, MA
Laura Whitney  b. 1792  d?

Peter and Laura's child: (their child is my ggg-grandmother and has always
been recorded in our family history as "part-Indian".  Any Native American
lineage more-than-likely come through Peter because Laura's lineage has been
traced back to England.)

Sophia Atwood b. abt 1814 in the Knightville area (then-called Indian Hollow)
of Huntington, MA   d 1871 Mar 22 in Becket, MA m Joel Daniels

Peter's second marriage: December 21, 1825 (Chester, MA?)
Mehitable Phebe Clark, b. May 17, 1800
children:
1. Silas Morris Atwood b. May 21, 1828 MA  d. in Civil War (don't know
date)..enlisted in ILL
2. Royal Edwin Atwood b. Nov. 14, 1830 MA  d. 1864 in ILL from Civil War
injuries
(discharged on disability January 20, 1863.  His widow Salina, filed for
pension on March 18, 1864.  Claimed residence Vienna, ILL)
3. Charles Edward Atwood  b. Sept. 28, 1835 MA  d. Feb. 6, 1863 from Civil
War..stationed at Gallatin, TN...claimed residence at GoodFarms, ILL
4. William Harrison Atwood, b. 1842 MA  d. abt. 1863.  (He was killed at Fort
Donelson, TN.  He was a private in the ILL Infantry. His mother, Mehitable
Phebe Atwood filed for pension April 27, 1863.  She claimed residence at
Dwight, ILL.)

We assume because Mehitable filed for the pension on her youngest son, that
she was a widow at the time.  Therefore we believe Peter Atwood died in ILL
sometime between 1860 and 1863.  He was found on the 1860 index for
Goodfarms, Grundy County Illinois.  Nothing after that.  Very much would like
to find birth or death ... or ANY other records on Peter...or perhaps if he
had siblings, on them.
