This is a hand drawn map by Gustavus Atwood, born 18 Nov 1843 in Carver, MA, to Sumner and Clio (Humphrey) ATWOOD. He lived all his life in Carver. On 20 Feb 1870, he married Mercy Jane McFarlin, in Rochester, MA. They had children: Gilbert, Charles, Albert, and Nathaniel. Nathaniel was a Pastor in Portland, Maine, and I suspect he is where this drawing came from.
Rag paper hand done map of Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island, signed on back Gustavus Atwood South Carver Mass., 1858. 73/4x10".
