Hi everyone

Ross Mallett's site is a wonderful source for transports (as well as other
topics), I have used it extensively to find out not only what ship the
person was on, but cross referenced it with the battalion information to
find out what reinforcement group the person belonged to. Ross's site is
often my first port of call when I came looking for AIF information. The

RMS = Royal Mail Ship
SS = Steam Ship

Full listing of the Troopships names after these:

Clan MacCorquodale - Torpedoed in eastern Mediterranean on 19.11.1917
Ballarat - Torpedoed 25.2.1917; no loss
Barunga - Former German ship 'Sumatra'. On 15.7.1918 was
torpedoed
off the Scilly Isles. All 855 invalided troops taken
off
before she sank.
Berrima - Formerly HMAS Berrima and armed merchant cruiser was
torpedoed on 18.11.1916 and again on 18.2.1917.
Boonah - Former German liner 'Melbourne' sank a German submarine
off Eris Head, Ireland on 10.3.1917.
Boorara - Former German ship 'Pfalz'. Captured after fired on by
guns at Fort Queenscliff, Victoria on 5.8.1914. (First
shots of the war)
Kyarra - Torpedoed and sunk my German Submarine on 26.5.1918.
Marere - Attacked and sunk by German submarine 236 miles from
Malta
on 18 January 1916.
Wandilla - In 1916 she was fitted out as a hospital ship and and
carried
wounded from France and Belgium to England. During WW2
she was
used by the Italians as a hospital ship.
