Hello Listers,

In my work indexing the Victorian "Non-Issued Probates and
Administrations" VPRS 7933/P1, I come across Chinese persons, and if
such would interest listers, I will put up a few now and then.

One of these is in unit 89, #7680 (but you must order the whole unit,
and then locate the file in the box)

The chap is listed as LEW GIM HEE (Lew is the family name) a cafe
proprietor of Bourke Street in Melbourne.

He was also known as AH GET under which name he married, his wife LI
YOUNG AH GET.

His brother was Charles LEW HOONG CHOON, and he was denoted executor
A second brother was LEW POO WOON.

His son was Norman LEW MOON OAK.

He may have died in 1960/61 (as the file only contains his will, there
is no death date given.

There possibly was a later application for administration with will
attached, or even, after later approval, a probate with the will. There
is no extra information on whether this will was later accepted and
followed through, or why it is kept in this series.
