Hi everyone, thought i should repost my list of irish convicts:
BROGAN James: arrived Marquis of Huntley 1828. His wife Ellen/Elleanor (nee HORAN) followed with their six children aboard Roslyn Castle in about 1836. Possible resident of Scariff. Born about 1791 Co Clare. Ellen was born about 1822.
CONNORS Bridget: wife of Malachi DALEY/DALY/ alias DAWLEY petitioned to go to Australia in 1828. This is the only reference i have to her! Not realy a convict but married to one (sorry)
DALEY/DALY/alias DAWLEY: where to start! i have Malachi senior, Malachi junior and Michael all tried in County Cork in 1823. All convicted and transported for life aboard the Lonach 1825. At the time of the trial all were residents of Gooseberry Hill County Clare. The spellings on Malachi could be Malachy, Malacky, Malarky and the alias Mathew was also used. One they reached New south wales all except Michael dissapear.
Is everyone as confused as i am yet? i hope not and hope someone recognises this felonious lot. <vbg>
Carmen
