I have a convict ancestor John Bullock arrived 1835 on the Westmoreland ,his ticket of leave granted in 1843 states he is to remain in the district of Maitland on recommendation of Port Macquarie Bench,he also had PP's dated 29/4/1844 44/336......12/5/1845.. 45/401.....11/ ? /1848 (possibly sept.)on recommendation of the Maitland Bench .What was the purpose of the PP's and how can I obtain more information on the PP's .The information I have given is from his Ticket of Leave .Any help or suggestions would be appreciated .I also have a copy of a Ticket of Leave for another John Bullock arriving on the Marquis of Hastings in1826 if anyone on the list would like me to send it to them.
