Hi Paddy

James Dodd of the 'Norfolk' married Johanna Quane (another convict) in 1835.

The Norfolk did not arrive into PJ until mid August 1825 and he did not seek
permission to marry anyone at that stage.

Hi, I am trying to get detail on my grandfa's grandfa. He was James Dodds
who came to Sydney on the 'Norfolk' in 1825. He was said to be in 'Road Gang
25' in 1828. He married Mary Leister, no. 253, who (along with husband?
George + un-named) had been given rations in the 1821 census. Mary and James
had a child every two years or so thereafter. Where and how do I dig up
early detail on James and/or Mary?
Thanks in anticipation.
