Thought it time I posted some info about the forthcoming

marking the 200th anniversary of the arrival of DANIEL JURD in NSW on 4th
August 1802, a convict, aboard the 'Perseus'.

*** DATES: Weekend 3 & 4 August 2002

*** WHAT's ON:
Saturday 3rd: * Service of Thanksgiving at St Matthew's Windsor
[time to be finalised]

* A DAY OF MEETING & GREETING
Mixing, Magging & MINGLING

* Launching of the book entitled
"To Live On In The Hearts & Minds Of Descendants Is To Never Die"
The Family of Daniel & Elizabeth Jurd since 1802.

final price has been determined. LIMITED EDITION]

* Evening Meal - PIG ON THE SPIT
[stealing 20lbs of bacon earned him his trip to NSW]

* Good old-fashioned home-made entertainment
story telling, community sing-a-long, recounting Remarkable Jurds
etc etc etc etc......

SUNDAY 4th - 200th ANNIVERSARY OF DANIEL'S ARRIVAL

A DAY OF PILGRIMAGE & REMEMBRANCE
Windsor, Pitt Town & St Albans
[if sufficient interest & seats are booked & prepaid bus/buses will be
available for those who wish to use them - ease the congestion]

+++ Programme will include:

- Pitt Town Cemetery - unveiling of Daniel's refurbished headstone
and commemorative plaque.

- St Albans Old Cemetery - unveiling of Elizabeth's refurbished
headstone and commemorative plaque.

- Smorgasbord Lunch at Settler's Arms Hotel [must book & prepay]
owned by Jurds for 90 years

- Visit to places of importance in Jurd History in the Valley.
