PEARCE FAMILY REUNION
Saturday April 7th 2007 - Brisbane, Qld, Australia
Gathering together descendants of
Richard PEARCE (1801-1870) of Uny Lelant, Cornwall, England
And
Jane CUTTANCE (1803-1883) of Mylor, Cornwall, England.
Their children:
James, John Cuttance, Richard, Thomas Taldor, Jane, Michael, and Elizabeth.
James PEARCE born 13 Mar 1831 died 14 Mar 1846 Lelant, Cornwall, aged 15
years.
Jane PEARCE 19 Apr 1840 Lelant, Cornwall. At the time of the 1861 British
Census she was living in Leland, aged 1871 aged 29, helping at home; no
further trace has been found of her.
Michael PEARCE born 24 Oct 1845 Lelant, Cornwall. At the time of the 1861
British Census he was living in Lelant, aged 16 and working as a miner; no
further trace has been found of him.
Elizabeth PEARCE born 13 Jan 1852 Lelant, Cornwall. Elizabeth, was buried
8th January 1881 as Elizabeth LEWIS, in the same grave as her mother;
neither a marriage nor any children have been found to date.
Three sons immigrated to Australia to the mining areas in and around of
Cobar, Lucknow, Orange, Sofala, Cadia, Warren, Nymagee, and Charters Towers.
Richard PEARCE born 15 May 1836 Lelant, Cornwall, arrived in Sydney on
29 September 1854 aboard the "Lady Ann". As far as we can ascertain he died
aged 31 years, unmarried without descendants.
John Cuttance PEARCE born 12 Jan 1834 Lelant, Cornwall, arrived in Sydney
on 14 October 1855 aboard the "Ebba Brahe". He married Lucy Edwards DERRETT
in Orange on 27 Apr 1871. They had six children and after working in several
mining areas in NSW he later moved his family to Charters Towers in Qld.
Thomas Taldor PEARCE born 24 Dec 1837 Lelant, Cornwall, arrived prior to
March 1866. The actual date is still unknown but in March 1866 he married
Priscilla DERRETT in Cadia, NSW and he settled in NSW to raise his family.
They had ten children.

We are seeking contact with descendants of the PEARCE family below, or
anyone who may have information about them.
