Does anyone happen to have the passenger list of the ACONCAGUA which seems to have sailed into Melbourne on the 10 Dec 1878.
I am trying to trace my grandfather who was supposed to have been born on board ship in Newport, Melbourne 14 Dec 1878. I have been unable to find a birth record either in Australia or England. Name John Henry McINTOSH.
I am clutching at straws really - but I did see on a shipping web-site where the above ship was in Melbourne on the 10 Dec 1878 and that seems reasonably close to the date that I am interested in.
