five generations now, we tend to be patient . . .

One thing you learn about computers early is that they are unreasonable,
yet for all that quintessentially logical. It is the logic that confuses us, as
we e-mail each other on our own merry way expecting the medium to be
like us, like the local postman expected to know everybody.
