hi again,

I've had a look at the index nos. - well only one - I don't have the info
for post 1888 - and I am still baffled -

the index no. for Edward in 1887 belongs to another person according to the
index CD?

I really hate to ask this - but what was the source of your earlier
information?

I've not seen them - but could they be the LDS Aust.Vital records indexes??

and just maybe the births didn't take place in Victoria?? - maybe Tasmania?

I can tell that you are sure the birth of Arthur Clarence was in 1888 - and
this may be so - but are you absolutely sure of the state - there is a
Richmond in Victoria and atleast one other - in Tasmania.

Please don't think I'm being a rotten so and so - like you I'm struggling
with this problem - and the supplied index no. hasn't helped at all?

BTW - I went all through the Smith possibilities - next I'll try the
variations.

thankyou and good luck
Robert
