Hi,

I think the very big problem here is this:

there doesn't seem to be a Madeline Street in Carlton - there may have been
some time ago - but my trusty Melways street directory for Melbourne
doesn't show a Madeline St.

If we knew the current name for Madeline St. then we could perhaps work out
where the hotel was??
