For many years there was a Jhon St in Glen Iris. Don't know why, but that
was it's name. I think the confusion was too much and now it's John St. City
of Melbourne has it's problems with Wreckyn St, often appearing on their own
maps as Wrecklyn St. The newly named Wreckyn Place was sign posted as
Wrecklyn Place and now has a funny gap where they painted out the stray L.
Local usage can vary as well. Although you can't be sure it is the same,
what you can be pretty sure of is that they wouldn't have both at the same
time
