Hi Marion

I suspect not. Our part of the family had moved to NZ by 1910 and
the only remaining male Meakins from our family in Queensland
had died apart from Thomas who died in Toowoomba in 1938
Les Meakin had returned but was in NSW and the only Jack (John)
we had was only 6 years old. His father was back and forth though.

By 1900 other Meakins were coming into Queensland and there was
quite a number in Victoria and NSW.

The photo in Melbourne was dated about 1870-1879.
