Hello James, here is a copy of a query similar to yours which I think
might help that I knew of. I had seen a similar one before and I think
the person got results at Caulfield (for a fee using the research facility)
which has research facilities. Checkout:

Try either the Victorian Racing Museum , Station St, Caulfield,
tel. 9563 3832. or VRC, 400 Epsom Rd Flemington (tel. library
9258-4646). I made enquiries. They have a library (open Tues 1-
4pm, Thur 4-6pm, or by appt) that has all (their word) Vic race
results. They are by day (chronological) but no index. They also
have all VRC racebooks, sales records. Plus Stallion registers,
bloodstock registers, 'Inside Racing', Histories of ..., biographies.
They DO NOT do research though. BTW, there is no VJC, what
exists in Vic is the Vic Racing Club (Flemington), the Moonee
Valley RC, and the Vic Amateur RC (Caulfield and Sandown).
