I will be publishing mid-year a family history for a group of
inter-connected Tasmanian families - principally WEYMOUTH, HUBBARD, HARRIS &
McPHAIL.

I am seeking contact with descendants of Alexander McPHAIL (1842-1914) and
his first wife, Rosa Maria HARRIS (1849-1880). Their children were:
1. Sarah Rose McPhail - married Bervin WILSON in 1891 in Victoria - lived
Echuca (9 children)
2. Hugh Alexander McPhail - married Elizabeth Walker in 1899 in Victoria,
and Linda Bull in 1916 in Murrumburrah NSW - a daughter, Jean Marjorie
McPHAIL born in NSW is the only known descendant. No details known.
3.Robert Harris McPhail - married Estella English in 1922 in Victoria
(2 known children - possibly more)
4.Isabella Finlay McPhail - married James WILSON in 1897 in Victoria
(descendants not known)
5.Flora Weymouth McPhail - married Herbert DULLARD in 1901 in WA - 7
children in WA
ARE YOU DESCENDED FROM ANY OF THESE PEOPLE???

Are you descended from one of the half-sisters of Alexander McPhail -
surname McPHAIL or McKEAG?? - please get in touch

I am in contact with some descendants who have sent or are sending me
details of known descendants, and the stories of the descendants in their
family lines, but I would like to make this story as complete as possible
for the future generations who get bitten by this 'family history bug'.

If you are interested in learning more about the HARRIS-McPHAIL family
history and would like to contribute the story/stories of the descendants in
your line from a HARRIS-McPHAIL child for inclusion in my story, please get
in touch. The contributor will be given full credit for their
story/stories.
