Hi Tania

You don't mention any other names other than Charles, or approx birth date
or where they came from in England, so I will tell you about the MARCHANT in
my family tree.

George MARCHANT b abt 1856 Kent s/o Richard MARCHANT, bricklayer and Sarah
MILLS. I do not know when or where he emigrated to Australia, but George
married Mary Jane DWYER in Brisbane in 1877. George was of MARCHANT CORDIAL
FACTORY fame and had branches in Melbourne, Sydney and country NSW as well
as Brisbane. He died in Brisbane in 1941.

This probably doesn't help you but...

Good luck
