Subject: Missing Death Certifcate?
Date: Sat, 17 Apr 2004 07:36:13 +1000
Hi listers,
thanks Lenore and Graham for your responses, I still can't find an entry
to solve this, I looked in probate & death fiche, BD&M site as well as
the CDROMs. SA as well. I know he was alive in 1925, {he was at his
daughter's wedding} After 1930, at age 65, he seems to be not listed as
being with his wife in Sands & Mc.She died 1945 listed as widow.
I've realised that in my early days of digging I assumed that his birth
name was John Henry Harvey, b. 1846, O'Halloran Hill, SA., parents John
WARD and Hannah HARVEY.
On his marriage index he states his age as 23, [whereas JHH would have
been only 19, but sometimes people put their age up?] I now can't rule
out he might have been born elsewhere.Using those parents there is no
matching record. I don't see why he wouldn't die in Melbourne, Bayside
area StKilda etc. I found one with unknown parents but that doesn't fit
as he had a wife and children to provide details.
Any clues gratefully accepted..
Cheers,
John Crowle
