Hi Maxine,

Have you looked at his WWI records at National Archives?

www.naa.gov.au

Just do a search for Frank Winfield and it will bring up his file that has been scanned. It gives lots of details
on him, including that he enlisted, deserted & was found, at Fremantle W.A. He was also disabled due to his war service due to shell shock & rheumatic carditis. Also gives medical details of a brother & sister, but I won't go on as it will spoil all your fun!

best wishes,

Jenny Coates

Subject: [AUS-MELBOURNE] Frank Winfield

Hi there, could some kind person do a look up for me. I'm looking for some info
on Frank Winfield, he was born in S.A. in 1881. He''s parent were Joseph
Winfield and Annie Deans Reid, I know that they spent some time living in the
Nhill area, they had other children in Victoria before returning to S.A. Frank
was in the first world war and I cannt find him marrying in S.A. so there is the
possibility that he returned to Vic., he may have married there. He died before
1943 as it was mentioned in his father's death notice.
Hoping someone can help me.

Thanks in advance.

Regards
Maxine
