Hi,

I'm new to list and I've been asked by someone in the UK to help them
regards an ancestor of theirs.

This is all the info I have been given.



John William KELLY born Bootle Lancashire UK 25.1.1898

After service in WW1 he emigrated to Melbourne, but after a few years the
family lost touch with him.

There is a record of a John Kelly age 23 on a passenger list in 1920 sailing
from Liverpool UK [near Bootle] but do not know for certain if it is him.



Is there anyone on the list who could point me in the right direction of
where to start my research.



I live within easy reach of an LDS family history centre.
