I'd be interested to know where you got your information on them sailing to
Tassy on the City of Edinburgh - was it a passenger list showing them both
by name?
It's just that Raymond NOBBS lists based on the Mutch Indexes and
Victualling lists show Henry CONE who came to Norfolk as a convict but no
female with that surname or variations of. They don't show Henry "living as
a married person on Norfolk island".
Of course, neither of the above prove that Mary wasn't Henry's wife -
unfortunately it probably just adds to the mystery - just thought that the
source of your information on the Tassy arrival might help.
