Yes I to was slightly dissapointed with the documentry as well, especialy
with the part about Ann Mash, forgetting to mention her first husband John
Irving who came on the first fleet as the assistant surgeon (also a convict)
on the Lady Penrhyn then later went to Norfolk Island with King where his
medical expertise was highly regarded he returned to Sydney in 1792 where he
was appointed as assistant surgeon to Parramatta.and became the fist man to
be amancipated.
It was because of his duties at Norfolk that John had this bit of luck and I
would have thought that there would have been a mention of this history with
Norfolk.
Yes I to am very dissapointed in the lack of investigative sources used by
the producers ect...
