Hi Daniel
You mention Goldsmiths of Wyong. In my recent 'jumping off the fence'
message, I mentioned the mini-migration that seems to have taken place from
the north and central coast to Huskisson, where I come from. Well it just
happens that another of the old families of Huskisson were/are the
Goldsmiths, a family of fishermen. They always had fairly close connections
with the Settrees, I'd assumed it was the fishing/boat building link but
then I'd assumed our family's connection was because of being neighbours -
now I assume nothing!
Might there be a connection between your Wyong Goldsmiths and the Huskisson
families?
While we're at it, does anyone know of a family named Lenham, probably
fishing?

regards
Leith Davis

Hi List,

I am another fencesitter who watches with great interest every post
throughthe
list. Unfortunately I don't get a great deal of time to research my family
history, although I spend as much time as I can doing so.

My interests from the central coast area include:

BOWCOCK [Gosford and Wyong]
GOLDSMITH [Wyong]and others include BRIDGE, FERNANCE and STERNBECK

I recently received a WW1 dossier for a relative which showed the home
address
of his family as 'Roslyn', Hill Street, Wyong. All current maps I have
looked
at don't show a Hill Street in Wyong. Does anybody have any idea where this

street was/is, or how I might find out more about the location of the home?

Thank you for your time.

Regards,
Daniel Hatton
