No, I know you aren't all members or living locally enough to attend but
that's no reason not to join in the fun!

At Saturday's meeting I took along a disk with over 2000 URLs collected
from various sources. The idea was to copy on to disks the others brought
along.

First problem - I have a Mac and do things the easy way. I did export to
Excel and it came up OK and we were able to see the list of URLs and the
second column, the web sites. And no doubt you can all sort by either name
or site or "find" particular things you are looking for.

OK for those who have Excel. But I also exported it in ASCII Text and yes,
it came up OK but as a word processor document. That is what most of you
can get.
When I get these lists from others in the first place, I put them into a
word processor and then open in a Database. We did a bit of homework at the
Centre and were making a bit of progress but not all seemed sure how to go
about this.

But I have had a few excited reports back that all went well - so it can be
done!
