Dear Marg Morters,

Re your enquiry: Reverend Edward Rogers. He was the first resident
incumbent of the Church of England (Anglican) at Brisbane Water district.
He also moved into the first rectory built at Gosford. It was at what is
called "Paul's Corner" or "No. 1 Mann Street" - a block of home units stands
on the site overlooking Gosford Park and the Broadwater. Rev Rogers married
one of the daughters of Henry Donnison of Erina.

The following information is from "The Church of England in the Brisbane
Water District, NSW" Centenary Booklet 1839-1939 by Lyla Wilson based on
work by Prof. Elkin. Centenary day was Sunday, 1 October, 1939.

Regards, Gwen
