Following on the interesting 'conversation about
Bradys Gully and a few other cemeteries

Something thats intrigued me for a long time is
the phrase often seen at the end of funeral notice
and obits ' Interstate papers please copy' and
one in particular concerning a death in Melbourne
in 1889 was ' Kent papers please copy' . Which
Interstate and which Kent ??

My Dad died in 1996 and we didnt get much change
from $100 for the short announcement in the
Central Coast Express . Couldnt see someone
copying this for free to the newspaper in his home
town in England !

Was there a SKS who organised this ' other
newspaper please copy" ?? Or was it pot luck

At the moment it seems to be 'in' to have a
funeral notice published . If you check the CC
Express say for about 20 years ago not many
notices at all
