PEARL BEACH HERITAGE WEEKEND 2006
The Heritage Weekend for 2006 will be held on 22nd – 23rd
April 2006.

The theme for the National Trust's Heritage Festival is
Industrial Heritage – Our Working Lives. As well as
featuring the stories of people of Pearl Beach, past and
present, and our cultural achievements, the display will
take a special look at our "Farms" and what became of
them. Pictures and information are sought..



As an added attraction there will be guided tours of the
Arboretum and other parts of the 'Farms' Perhaps sports
(petanque? Bowls?), in the Recreation area and a tour of
USU Biological Research Station

.

We are also writing the story of the five young men
commemorated on our War Memorial. We need $125 to obtain
their War records from the Australian War Memorial. If
you would like to contribute specifically to this
activity, financially or otherwise, please contact Kay
