Hi Marg
it is listing compiled by N C HOPSON and revised 1984. It purports
to give info on all 'NSW and ACT Post Offices', but only the briefest
of info: ie opening and closing dates(eg no data about changes of
location in the case of Kincumber PO (which I happen to know moved
about) - just the date PO started - and date closed if this occurred
by 1984 (see earlier reply to MARIE RILEY for more info).

It also has a 4 Appendices:

(A)"Mail Handling Offices' .
eg Gosford Interim Mail Centre opened 2.12.1979
Replaced by Gosford Mail Centre Opened 30.8.1981 (officially opened
16.10.1981)

(B)'Temporary post offices' (eg established for particular event ,
the first listed being
International Exhibition, Garden Palace, Sydney 17.9.1879 to 20.4.1880,)

and also including:
Rats of Tobruk World Reunion, Gosford 7.4.1893 to 8.4.1983 and
11.4.1983 (the only entry I can find for Central Coast)
and

(C)"Recurrent Temporary Post Offices
including 'Sydney Showgrounds'

(NO mentions for CC in these appendices except the 3 above above.)

Wyong: Known as WYONG RAILWAY STATION till 1.4.1899
Wyong Creek : opened 1.4.1877 Closed 4.4.1967
Wyong North : opened 2.1.1958 Closd 4.4.1967
Wyong Railway Station : Opened 16.1.1889 Renamed Wyong 1.4.1989

Kanwal (Nr Toukley) : Known as Warnervale (1) till 15.4.1915 Closed 31.8.1981
Warnervale (1) Opened 15.1.1914. Renamed Kanwal 15.4.1915
Warnervale (2) (Nr Wyong) : known as Warnervale Railway till
1.12.1917 Closed 14.11.1980
Warnervale Railway : opened 1.10.1915 Renamed Warnervale (2) 1.12.1917

Toukley : Opened * 1.1.1927

What info does this book give for P Os in the northern
part
of the Central Coast ?........... eg Wyong Kanwal
Toukley ?

I was intrigued a week or so back when I tripped over the
death in 1905 in the GT of Edwin HARGRAVES and ref to an
application for the probate of his will , both on the
same page a week after he died at Noraville
