Hello there, I do hope that someone will recognise this lady.

Kathleen is part of my husband's POWELL family and somehow she and her family seem to have slipped between the boards. We know that she and her husband (first name not known) came to Australia before WWII and after they were married in Wales about 1925.

Things I do know about her:

Mr. JONES was a Professor of Music and taught music somewhere round Sydney.
They had 2 sons - one became a barrister and the other owned a take-away.
The barrister was beaten up outside his home and suffered (I think) the loss of an eye.
The only other name I know is a grandson still living called Robert.
I found the registration of Kathleen's death record:
26074/1970 JONES KATHLEEN MARY DIED AT NEWCASTLE AGED 66 YRS NEWCASTLE

They moved away from Sydney to the country - presumably somewhere near Newcastle - on finding the cost of the rates too much on a pension.

If anyone can give me her husband's name it would be a start. In time I would like to know the names of the 2 sons.

Thank you for any help.
Joan Powell
