Hello there,
Can anyone help me with any of the following families:-
Joseph and Anne DAVIS, who lived in MUSWELLBROOK circa 1841;
Their son, a blacksmith, married Susanna GUNTER, widow of William
BRADSHAW, at Bishop's Bridge in 1861, and appears to have lived in
RAVENSFIELD.
Their son, my Grandfather, James DAVIS, was born in 1862, followed by
Joseph Samuel in 1866 and Elizabeth A. in 1868 - all born in or near
MAITLAND. These three apparently went with William Samuel BRADSHAW and
his wife, Emily BEH of SINGLETON to MACKAY, Qld. about 1885.
My Grandmother, Ellen Alice DAVIS nee KELLY, returned to MAITLAND in
1902 to bear her fourth living child, Vincent Terrence.
I understand there is a book, "For The Price Of Sixpence", by Geoffrey
BRADSHAW, telling the story of the BRADSHAW family. Does anyone know
anything about it???
Thank you in advance,
Neville DAVIS.
