Hi Valerie, You and I share the same BOYLE family. I think the East Maitland
registers with this and other marriages were lost in a flood somewhere along
the line. Mary Ann was elder sister of my g/g-fa Henry Brownwood Boyle and
came on "Clyde" in 1841, I think. I suspect Henry and possibly also their
mother on same ship, or at least came at same time. These were children of
Edward Boyle and Ann (nee Gordon) Boyle of Cupar, Fife, SCT. Ann (Gordon)
Boyle married Robert Simon in East Maitland - presume Edward Boyle died in
SCT - once again can't find record of marriage. Ann died Raymond Terrace
5.12.1857 at Henry B.Boyle's home and is buried R.Terrace.
Understand Samuel and Mary Ann (Boyle) Croaker buried around Nabiac
somewhere, but haven't followed this side of family up.
My mother used to keep contact with a Jessie Croaker who lived Midson
Rd.Eastwood and had son Bob Croaker who had a disability - this was about 45
years back. They were relatives through the Croaker/Boyle families, but
again, I haven't fully chased this through.
(Henry Brownwood Boyle m. Caroline Gilbert, and their daughter Caroline
Elizabeth ("Lizzie") Boyle m.David Hunter, b.Canada - these were my maternal
grandparents.) Be glad to swap information with you. Daryl Lightfoot
