Hi Maureen - tell me more - my mgf was David Edmund Hunter of Raymond
Terrace - he came from Canada in 1877, worked for George Martin, married a
daughter of Henry Brownwood Boyle, saddler of RT, and set up business in
Boyle's former premises in King Street. His older brother was in business in
Canada, and at least some of his imports came from there. He died in RT in
1934, and was probably the major player in the pre-history of the RT Co-op
Dairy Co, later the OAK Butter Factory at Hexham. Any more infor needed,
please let me know.
