Hi Listers,
I'm trying to find information on my g.grandfather, Charles Barrass. I
believe he and his first wife Sarah and my g.mother Lily came to Aust. and
in particular Newcastle c 1884 and lived there till around 1896. Charles
later returned and married Margaret Ann Knight, wife of the late
David Macneil Knight (nee Scott) after Sarah had died in 1916. Charles died
in July 1929 and Margaret died Nov 1944. They were living 167 Dawson St.
Cooks Hill, Newcastle. Margaret's daughter married M. Ingham.
Is anyone tracing any of these families?
Can anyone tell me if there is a website for passengers arriving into NSW?
I would be grateful for any advice or suggestions on how to flesh out this
meagre info on my family.
