Coroners inquire into deaths and fires. Their records are public records - so have a look at the State Records (formerly State Archives) site.

State Records produce a series called "Archives in brief" - consult the relevant one at:

It seems that the holdings are somewhat patchy and you may not find what you are looking for.

If your person of inetrest was tried for murder then the proceedings would have been taken in the Supreme Court (Criminal Jurisdiction).
