Hi Anne
I went to the Australian War Memorial website 'Search the Database' page:
http://www.awm.gov.au/database/index.asp
Typed in 'Leslight', & found him listed in the First World War Nominal
Roll.Have you seen it? It states his Fate as 'R.T.A. 22-7-19' which I guess
means Returned to Australia (?) 22 July 1919. There could be more at the AWM
website.
Bye
Kerry

"I am trying to find information on a Pte Vincent James LESLIGHT reg no.
6581 who served in WW1 18th Battalion of NSW. From what I can make out he
left NSW on the 10th Jan 1917 and Returned to Australia on the 22nd July
1919. I was told by a family member that he was ment of died in Fance but
with the details I have found out is that he came home!
The LESLIGHT's came from the Stockton/Newcastle area in NSW. I dont seem to
be able to find much information on this fellow or his death.

Any help would be wonderful
Anne
Melbourne "
