Hello Listers

I am hoping that, somewhere out there, someone may be able to assist in my
search. I am not terribly cluey on where to find information, so am hoping
for some sort of lead.

My great-great-grandmother was Rebecca Cannon (nee King) she was born in
Paterson in about 1841. Her parents were John King and Harriett King (nee
Dear). John King is listed as a tailor. Rebecca had a sister, Harriet Mary
King born 10/5/1851 in Paterson and a brother, another John King, a
labourer who was born in about 1845 and died 11/7/1880 in West Maitland.
There was an inquest into his death on 12/7/1880 and he is buried in St
Pauls churchyard, Paterson.

Are there records of the headstones at St Pauls churchyard?

I can't seem to find anything about John King (the father), his birth, his
death, a shop where he may have worked, anything. I am from Victoria but
remember having passed through Paterson and it didn't seem to big enough
to support a tailors shop. Was it a bigger town in the past?

Any assistance would be gratefully received.
