Margaret,
I was interested to see that your Guys had lived in Maitland before
going to Kayuga. In my gg grandmother's obituary in the Muswellbrook
Chronicle I read that a number of Maitland (Primitive) Methodists left
that town in the 1860's as a group, and settled at Kayuga.
I would be interested to know if your Guys were part of that exodus.
Incidentally, my gg grandfather, William /- , is said to have
conducted a travelling ministry as lay readers with Mr Jordan, who
lived opposite him at Kayuga. Also, the builder of the Catholic church
in Muswellbrook was a Mr Jordan, joined by Allens and Armitages, all
Methodists.
