The Newcastle Morning Herald published obits following the death of William
Longworth in 1926. Try the Newcastle Regional Library.
The Longworth family arrived on Artemisia in 1849. My gggrandfather arrived
on this ship, under contract to the AA Co as a miner as did William
Longworth's father.
William Longworth, each year, invited surviving fellow passengers to a party
to commemorate their arrival in Australia. He also donated what became the
Air Force Assoc HQ in Scott St, Newcastle to the city.
