Here is letterI received from a lady in England who is researching
her family at Windsor. It may be of interest to other researches.

Sarah Pigg was born in Hertfordshire in about 1772.
Sarah Pigg was sent for trial on 3rd March 1790 in Hertfordshire. She would
have been around 18 years old at the time of her trial. Sarah Pigg was sent
as a convict to Australia on a ship called the Mary Ann. The ship sailed on
16th February 1791 carrying 150 females. The Mary Ann arrived in Australia
143 days later on 9th July 1791.
On 27th September 1791 Sarah Pigg was a witness at the wedding of Jesse
Mulcock and Mary Taylor.
Sarah died aged 55 years on 13th November 1827 at Windsor, New South Wales.
She was buried at St Matthews Church, Windsor.
She married twice.
Her first husband was Thomas Hoskisson. Sarah Pigg and Thomas Hoskisson
married on 30th January 1795 at St Phillips Church, Sydney Cove. The
solemnization of Matrimony was by Permission of Captain William Matters (or
Matthews). The ceremony was performed by Chaplain Richard Johnson. The
witnesses were Henry Kablin? and Susannah Kablin?.

Sarah Pigg and Thomas Hoskisson had three children:
1. Mary Hoskisson, born on 1st May 1795 at Hawkesbury, New South Wales
2. Thomas Hoskisson, born on 30th June 1796 in Hawkesbury
3. John Hoskisson, born on 6th September 1799 in Cornwallis.
Sarah's first husband Thomas Hoskisson died in August 1799 in Hawkesbury.
She then married Thomas Upton on 4th July 1803 at St Johns Church,
Parramatta. Thomas Upton was born around 1761 in London. He also was a
convict and he arrived in Australia on the Neptune on 26th June 1790. Sarah
Pigg and Thomas Upton had nine children (four sons and five daughters):

1. Lucy Upton, born about 1802 at Green Hills, New South Wales
2. James Upton, born about 1809 at Green Hills
3. Jesse Upton, born on 30th July 1806 at Green Hills
4. Ann Upton, born on 18th August 1809 at Green Hills
5. William, born on 6th September 1811 at Windsor. He died as an infant on
22nd March 1812.
6. Jane Upton, born on 24th March 1815 in Windsor
7. Sophia Upton, born on 26th April 1816 in Windsor
8. Susannah Upton, born on 21st September 1817 in Windsor. She died on 23rd
November 1817.
9. Thomas Upton (birth date not known).
