Could anyone familiar with Wallsend & Plattsburgh tell me where the
"railway" might have been?
I have a reference in the 1901 Federal Directory to my gg-grandmother,
Isabella Syme, and her address was "west of the railway".
I am very familiar with the area, and can locate other areas e.g. Pittown,
Brookstown, Platsburgh, the commonage, etc, but "west of the railway" has
stumped me.
