Hi Malcolm
This site has the Hector listed and has a good deal of info about the ship
but none about the passengers or crew I'm afraid.
You might find it interesting though.

Clarence River, which was supposed to have happened in December 1875? I have
looked through the Sydney Morning Herald for December 1875 - March 1876 and
find no mention of it. Normally shipwrecks were reported in detail,
especially when lives were lost. My ggrandmother was supposed to have been
lost in this wreck.
