Dear List,
Can someone tell me where a Blacksmith shop in Casino was, I believe it was owned by a man named Rodgers, any information on this shop or the man, would be a great help, my father worked there in the early 1920's.
Does anyone have information on Boxing matches that were held we think in the Ballina area,about the early 1920's again.
My father won a Champion match and won a gold medal( Medal lost) I think he would have fought at about the welter weight division and was the Champion of the North Coast. The man Rodgers taught my Dad to box and took my father and his own sons to boxing matches. We would dearly love to find out these matches were recorded in any papers of the time.
