Hi all

Of all my direct ancestors in Australia I have only one death to establish
and this one has been a problem for many cousins researching for some years
now.

Mary Ann Ferris (previously Turnbull nee Reilly) wife of James Ferris was
last alive in Windsor NSW in 1866. The family (two boys) are said to have
moved to Grafton around 1870 and there is a 1920s newspaper reference that
Mary Ann died in Grafton but no year. James died near Casino in 1887. His
DC does not indicate whether he was a widower or not. Perhaps Mary Ann
married again (born c 1812). Nothing obvious found on NSW BDM Indexes.

Son George Wallace Ferris lived in the Grafton area.

Any clues (or the answer) would be very much appreciated.

Grahame Thom
