Hi Ian,
many thanks for the info on CLANCYs and DANIHERs....
am i correct in assuming that what you mean that the CLANCYs clans
(1) Kempsey areas
(2) Orange areas
(3) Gunning areas
are all connected/related ??
When i was in Gunning in the late 1980s, John Clancy was trying then to
establish if the Gunning and Kempsey Clans were related....
and Catherine LEE (nee CLANCY) (grandmother) sister to Hannah and
Bridget, said to me
when i asked her about any family connections to Cardinal CLANCY, her
reply was when she had spoken to him years earlier, and he felt that the
connections would be in the grandparents level... when the info of what you
gave to me, and how i believe i understood it, he would be correct.... even
a couple of years ago, when i exchanged xmas card with him and asked, his
reply was, when there is established a link between the 3 clans, then we
most likely be all related....
When checking over the information that was given years ago and written in
1st person, found how it all started to fit together.... was a bit confused
when 2 Johns married 2 Margarets, 2 Dennis married 2 Marys, 2 patricks
married 2 Anns ..
again many thanks , and still beavering on
regards
Warren
